On Saturday (18th January) Waterstones Nottingham lit up with Squad Juno Light when it hosted The Light Hunters book launch party.
I was joined by my editor, Hazel Holmes from UCLan Publishing and Tony Higginson, bookseller (Tony's knowledge of kids' books is supernova big!). The event started with some book-chat over hot chocolate (perfect for this time of year!), and then it was onto reading from The Light Hunters and a Q&A session.
It was a fantastic event with family, friends, teachers, librarians, local authors (Paula Rawsthorne and Jonathan Emmett), book bloggers and general book lovers attending. Thank you all for coming.
I had the pleasure of signing the very first copies of the book (almost a week before the official release!) and handing out Squad Juno badges and bags of sweets from Mrs Miggins' sweet-shop, which went down really well with the younger guests :-)
Below are some photos from the day.
Next up: I'm excited to be joining UCLan for The Light Hunters book tour, visiting schools and appearing at the Northern YA Literary Festival on 22nd March. Come and say 'hello' if you're around Preston!
